The  Nevada  Chapter  Terry  Farrell  Fire  Fighter  Fund  is  very  proud  to  bring    “The  Nozzle  Forward”    back   to  Las  Vegas  for  the  second  year  in  a  row.    This  is  one  of  the  most  sought  aTer  classes  in  today’s  fire   service.    It  is  an  ongoing,  in-­‐depth  study  of  all  things  Engine.    This  is  not  a  “what  if”  class;  it  is  a  program   designed  to  engrain  the  nozzle  team  with  the  ability  to  make  the  right  choices  and  to  be  able  to   accomplish  whatever  task  is  necessary  to  achieve  a  successful  interior  a[ack.    It  is  not  theory;  it  is   proven  on  fire-­‐grounds  around  the  country.    Adapted  from  a  variety  of  sources,  but  reconstructed  to  be   based  around  simple  principles  that  maximize  mechanical  advantage.  The  course  will  integrate  the   three  major  components  of  Engine  company  work;  fire  behavior,  hose  management,  and  fire  a[ack.   The  class  is  22  hours  with  the  morning  of  day  one  being  a  lecture.      There  will  also  be  a  Saturday  night   “meet  n'  greet”  with  the  instructors,  live  music,    and  prize  raffles  at  McMullans  Irish  Pub.    Book  your   rooms  at  The  Orleans  Hotel  &  Casino  directly  across  the  street  from  the  CCFD  Training  Center.  Do  not   miss  out!  This  2  day  class  will  be  benefidng  the  Nevada  Chapter  of  the  Terry  Farrell  Fire  Fighter's  Fund.

Captain Ali Jahanfard of the Clark County Fire Department, assigned to Station 32 in the heart of City Center on the Las Vegas Strip, has recently suffered a life altering event. He has suffered an incomplete spinal injury which has rendered him without the use of his lower body, possibly permanently. The support of his brothers and sisters throughout the valley, and beyond is requested at a fundraising golf tournament or through donations to the Nevada Chapter of the Terry Farrell Fund.

Team Aly Needs Our Help

Aly Hafen is the daughter of AK Hafen a City of Henderson Firefighter, and Carolyn Hafen an ER nurse at Spring Valley Hospital. She has a twin sister, Ava, a big sister Brynley and big brother Logan. On Tuesday September 30th after only a few short hours of not feeling well Aly went into cardiac arrest in the Pediatric ER of St. Rose Siena hospital. She was revived and transferred to the Pediatric ICU at Sunrise Children's Hospital. She was placed on ECMO support and the decision was made that she would need a heart transplant and was transferred to Loma Linda Children's Hospital in California on Friday Oct 3rd. Aly is currently on the heart transplant list and is fighting the good fight.
